Who we are

This website, www.profoundideas.co.uk, is operated by Profound Ideas Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 09798600. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), reference ZC197632, and we are the data controller for the limited personal data described below.

This notice covers only personal data connected with this website. The data we process as a supplier on client projects is governed separately by our contracts and data-processing terms with those clients.

This website collects nothing

This site is an information-only “shop window”. It has no contact forms, no accounts, no cookies and no analytics or tracking, and it does not collect any personal data about you when you browse it.

If you email us

The site includes an email link (sales@profoundideas.co.uk). If you choose to email us, we process the details you send — typically your name, email address and the content of your message — solely to respond to and correspond with you.

• Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract).
• How long we keep it: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless the enquiry becomes part of a client engagement, in which case that engagement’s retention terms apply.

Hosting and email providers

Our website is hosted on Microsoft Azure and our email runs on Microsoft 365. Microsoft acts as our service provider (processor) under contract, and may process limited technical data (such as IP addresses) as a normal part of delivering and securing the website. We do not ourselves collect or retain website server logs, analytics or tracking data. We do not sell your personal data, and we share it only where required by law.

Where your data is processed

Your personal data is processed in the United Kingdom and/or the European Union. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, appropriate safeguards apply (such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum).

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal data, have it corrected or erased, and to restrict or object to its processing, subject to the conditions in the law. To exercise any of these, email privacy@profoundideas.co.uk; we will respond within one month.
